Track Tyre Wear by Axle Position

See tyre wear per axle position build into a graph, so replacement is planned from real measurements, not guesswork.

Every tyre on your fleet wears differently depending on where it sits on the axle, and Frachta's fleet maintenance section lets you track that difference instead of treating tyres as one generic cost line. Under /fleet/maintenance, each tyre position is recorded separately, so you can see exactly how the front axle compares to a trailer axle over time.

To use it, open /fleet/maintenance and select the vehicle you want to check. Each axle position is listed on its own, and you can enter a real tread measurement for that position whenever you check it. This is the key step: the number you enter is a measurement, not an estimate, and Frachta uses it to build a wear graph for that specific position.

As you keep logging measurements over weeks and months, the graph fills in and shows the wear trend for each position clearly. Instead of relying on memory or a rough guess about which tyre is due, you can look at the graph and see how close a position is to needing attention, based on what has actually been measured.

When a tyre is rotated to a different position, or replaced altogether, its history stays attached and moves with it rather than being lost. That means you are not starting from a blank page every time a tyre changes position or a new tyre goes on; the record of how it wore continues.

This saves you from the situation where tyre replacement is decided by whoever notices a bald patch first, or where a tyre gets swapped without anyone remembering how long the last one lasted in that position. With measurements and history kept per axle position, replacement planning is based on what has been recorded, not on who happened to look at the tread that week.
