Plan tyre changes from real wear, not guesswork
Record tread depth per axle position in /fleet/maintenance to plan replacements from data, not guesswork.
In Frachta, tyres are tracked per axle position, so you always know the condition of each individual tyre rather than treating the whole vehicle as one guess. Open /fleet/maintenance and select the vehicle you want to check; each axle position on that vehicle is listed separately, ready for a reading.
When you measure the tread depth on a tyre, enter that number against its axle position in /fleet/maintenance. Each measurement you log adds a point to a wear graph for that specific position, so over time you can see exactly how fast that tyre is wearing compared to the others on the same vehicle.
Because the history is tied to the axle position and not just the vehicle, rotating tyres between positions or swapping in a replacement does not erase what came before. The record follows the tyre, so you keep a continuous picture of its wear even after it has moved to a different axle or been replaced.
This means replacement decisions in /fleet/maintenance are based on what the tread measurements actually show, not on a rough estimate of how long a tyre should last. A position wearing faster than the others stands out in the graph long before it becomes a problem on the road.
That takes you out of the situation where a tyre is replaced too early out of caution, or left on too long because nobody has a clear record of how it has worn, and a routine check turns into an unplanned stop.
