Catch tachograph issues before they become fines

Frachta's tachograph check flags driving and rest time issues against EU rules before they catch you out.

Keeping track of driving and rest time across a fleet is hard to do from memory, and the tachograph check in Frachta gives you a second set of eyes on it. It compares each driver's hours against the limits set out in EU regulation 561/2006: nine hours of daily driving, extendable to ten twice a week, a weekly cap of 56 hours, and a two-week cap of 90 hours.

To use it, open /fleet/tachograph from your fleet section. The page lists your drivers and flags any pattern that looks like it is approaching or breaking one of these limits, whether that is a long day, a week creeping past 56 hours, or a fortnight edging towards the 90-hour ceiling.

When something is flagged, treat it as a prompt to look closer rather than a final verdict. Pull up the driver's actual records, check what happened on the days in question, and decide whether it was a genuine extension allowed under the rules or something that needs correcting going forward.

It is worth being clear about what the check does not do. It does not file anything with an authority, submit a report, or correct the record on your behalf. It simply tells you where to look, and the follow-up stays with you.

Used this way, the check becomes part of your routine rather than something you only think about after an inspection. Checking /fleet/tachograph regularly means a pattern of long days or a creeping weekly total gets caught while there is still time to adjust the rota.

That is the gap it closes: the moment a roadside check or an audit turns up a driving-time infringement that nobody on your team had noticed because nobody had looked at the numbers until then.
