Keep invoice and credit-note numbering separate
Frachta lets each company set up its own numbering series for orders, invoices and credit notes, kept apart by purpose.
Frachta gives each company its own numbering setup for orders, invoices and credit notes, so every document type keeps a clean, predictable sequence that you control rather than one shared counter that mixes everything together. The setup covers the full lifecycle of your paperwork, from the first order through to the invoice and any credit note that follows it.
To see it, open your account and go to the numeration view at /account?view=numeration. There you will find the series that apply to your company, organised by purpose, covering orders, invoices and credit notes. From there you can check which series is in use for each document type without digging through other settings.
Each series runs on its own counter, so an invoice and a credit note issued on the same day never end up sharing a number or interrupting each other's sequence. Every document type moves forward independently, at its own pace, based on how often you issue that kind of document.
This matters most when your accountant or a tax authority looks back over a year of paperwork. A numbering scheme where invoices and credit notes are tangled together is harder to explain and easier to question, while keeping them apart from the start means each sequence simply makes sense on its own.
It also means growth in one area does not distort another: issuing more credit notes in a busy month will not push your invoice numbers out of step, because the two were never counting against each other in the first place.
